Painted Minis on Parade
over 2 years ago – Sat, Nov 20, 2021 at 04:41:45 AM

Hello, folks!

After last update's card-a-palooza, we thought it might be a nice palate cleanser if we showed off a bunch of painted minis various folks have been putting out there. So, enjoy that below. Before you do, however, we want you to vote on which hero you'd like to see highlighted in December, from an equipment standpoint. Whichever lucky hero wins, we'll show them with possible equipment loadouts for each of the six levels in Heirs of Ruin. Let's keep the voting options under 10 and go with just the HoR heroes: Adina, Vanessa, Capac, Feilheim, Quell, Aleksander, Aleksandra or Wynter. Vote in the comments below!

Tiny Production Update

I'd be remised if I didn't cover a little bit about production. Capac and Lady Renata have finally been fixed and their masters should be mailed out early next week for approval. We should be seeing PVC for the rest of the base game (and with any luck, masters for some of the rest of Wave 1) by January, which is very exciting.

Ladies Renata, I presume?
Vanessa always knows the way. In this case, the way is always to her left, as otherwise her crossbow is too blurry in the picture.
It took the photographer over 4 hours to make him smile, but it was well worth the effort.

Dermatologists aren't hunting for work in Tarpitt, is all I'm saying.
Things get dicey when Adina suggests the party "goes Dutch" after the food has already been ordered.
He claimed he would rather "die on his feet" without realizing the level of commitment that would entail.

The Update to End All Updates (Until the Next One)
over 2 years ago – Tue, Oct 12, 2021 at 02:01:12 AM

Hello, folks!

It feels like it has been ages (probably because it sort has been), so we are long overdue for an update. We’re going to go over a lot of things today including spotlighting every single hero, including all their ability, signature skill and hero cards… Something in the neighborhood of 780 cards, in fact (so I hope you like cards). We’re also going to show you exactly where the progress of the game is with a fancy, in-depth chart, which segues nicely into us delaying the project.

State of the Game

I know we’re still about 6 months out from our revised fulfillment of Wave 1, but it’s clear already that March 2022 isn’t going to happen. Fulfillment itself is going to be a great challenge and even if Stormsunder was ready to be manufactured today, I’m not confident we’d be able to get you your games by March. Our new estimate is October 2022. Why an entire year? To answer that, we need to look at where we are:

Cards

As you can see, when it comes to finishing things (aside from the “Other Components, which you probably don’t care about), cards are looking pretty great. There are 10 different types of cards in Stormsunder and 6 of them are finished, while the other four are pretty close. The Outstanding Equipment and Adversary cards are mostly end game and stretch goal related (more on that in the Campaign Book section) while the Abilities and Wrath cards are things we still need to “insert” into the campaign. All of the hero ability cards are finished; these are pet and bonus/secret/etc abilities the heroes can find along the way. The basic Wrath cards for different factions/locations are finished; what’s left are some event-related cards I want to add for some more immediate impacts to your decisions in the story.

Miniatures

There’s no other way to say it: miniatures are going painfully slow. They were slow to get going, then we saw some amazing progress and now we’re back to slow again. The sculpts are all ready for our manufacturer and Heirs of Ruin is agonizingly close to being finished (which represents a little under half of the minis, but the other half includes the terrain which will be much easier). The hold-up between the 44% of the optimization/masters and the 16% of the molds is two miniatures (ironically, the first two we ever showed): Capac and Lady Renata. Both minis were the first PVC samples we ever had, but they were made before Longpack had the contract and needed to be remade so they received the full back-and-forth optimizations that the other HoR minis had. Unfortunately, the Capac and Lady Renata masters were made too large. Destroyer of worlds, I say! (I’m exaggerating, sort of):

Lady Renata is on the bottom. As you can see, the base size doesn't match.

Longpack is back in action after holiday (National Day, I think?) and they’ve promised swift action on this now, which will include making new masters for Capac and Lady Renata and molds (which means PVC samples) for the rest of Heirs of Ruin. This also means masters for some of the rest of Wave 1 (SGs, V&C, etc) as we move forward.

Campaign Book(s)

That little “s” is because, although we don’t talk about it much, Wave 1 actually has two campaign books: the main Heirs of Ruin campaign book and the (thankfully, much smaller) stretch goal book. The reason for the lower-than-you-probably-expected percentages for Story and Encounters are due to the Stretch Goal book, not the main campaign book. As for the Art, it needs to be done absolutely last as it’s used as much to fill empty spaces as it is to make the campaign book pretty (it does both jobs really well). Speaking of doing things last, there’s still a lot of editing that needs to go into both books to make sure they are as polished as possible. This is true of cards as well, which in hindsight I should have added as an extra row.

Most of the numbers on this chart are based on quantifiable tasks (371 Equipment cards out of 400 are done? 93%, done). That’s not true for testing; it’s an educated guess, if we’re being honest. On the testing front, we’ve hired two full-time testers whose only job is testing our games. This is in addition to me, Nikola and others who also do internal testing. Stormsunder is a massive game, however. With so many moving parts, any one of them could break the game and result in a poor experience for players. Each encounter needs to be tested with multiple hero combinations to make sure their abilities don’t make a fight (or a particular aspect of multiple fights) trivial. I think 40% is pretty accurate as it represents how much time we’ve already put into testing Stormsunder (and also accurately reflects how much farther I think we have to go).

Other Components

Not much to say here except that the rulebook will be finished dead last. Little has changed since the start of the Kickstarter campaign from a rules standpoint, but I’m not taking any chances and plan to revisit the rulebook when testing is complete.

Side note: There are three things not on the chart that you might be looking for, which are all at 0%. First is translations (no one wants to do them until the game is completely done), second is SG maps (not really at 0%, but I forgot them until now so...) and actual production (technically molds are part of production so that's not 0% either, but whatever). I just realized there's a fourth (the App) which is also not at 0%, but I'm going to stop thinking about it or this update is never going live.

Manufacturing Costs Gained a Level

Other campaigns have touched on this already, but I figured I’d give my two cents on the subject as well. The biggest up-front cost for Stormsunder was steel and the largest production cost is paper. Both of those have gone up (like, 30%-ish up), which is absolutely nuts. I’m only mentioning this as if prices stabilize at these levels (or get worse), we will have to raise prices for Wave 2. We won’t touch the prices of pledges of folks who will pay (or have already paid) for Wave 2 items by the time we close the PM for Wave 1, but this is your 6+ months advance warning that an industry that relies on cardboard is getting pounded by the price of cardboard.

Heroes of Stormsunder

If you've been hanging out on Discord, this is what you've been really waiting for: Card reveals for every hero in Stormsunder. FYI, we threw Feilheim and Quell in here so they're all in one place. Feel free to ask any questions about synergies and whatnot in the comments (and don't be shy if you find a typo or something that doesn't look right on the cards, especially on the stretch goal heroes).

That's all for now! We're going to take a breather (and refill our hand) and we'll be back likely a bit later (end of November/Early December) with more news and other bits of Stormsunder-y goodness. Until then, we'll see you in the Storm (warning: do not sleep in the Storm).

Stormsunder's Narrative (Spoilers Incoming)
over 2 years ago – Wed, Jul 28, 2021 at 01:15:36 AM

Hello, folks!

Today is an exciting day because we're going to share with you some of the narrative from Stormsunder's prologue. Aside from that one time we talked about decisions (and all the times I delight in making misleading statements in the narrative channel on Discord), this is the first time we've shown anything really meaty story-wise since we released the demo campaign book for the Kickstarter campaign. Nothing is ever final until it goes to print, but there are definitely spoilers below, so don't scroll below the librarian Aleksandra picture if you are one of those folks who want to go into the game blind. You've been warned...

Whether you read the narrative or not, stop by the comments or on Discord and let us know if you like this kind of "gameplay" update, or prefer one of the other gameplay-related updates we've done (or have a new type you'd like to see).

Stormsunder Crossover in Chronicles of Drunagor: Age of Darkness Apocolypse

Vacrem has wondered out of the Storm and into a different apocalypse!

Vacrem, seen here guarding the bounce house at a local carnival.

The fine folks at Creative Games Studio have been absolutely crushing it with their reprint campaign for their game, Chronicles of Drunagor. Here's the sales pitch:

Chronicles of Drunagor - Age of Darkness is a fully cooperative and strategy board game of tactical combat in a dungeon crawl adventure for one to five players. Age of Darkness is based on multiple 3D scenarios, each of them played separately or in a continuous storyline. Each scenario has its own unique setup, darkness rules, and different goals that will need to be achieved in order to obtain victory.

Sound like a game you want to play? Head on over to their campaign page on Gamefound here to see everything they're offering (and the absurd number of stretch goals they've unlocked).

That's all for now (aside from the wall of text below)! Until next time, we'll see you in the Storm (keep an eye out for shelter).

SPOILERS AHEAD

You're darn right I copy/pasted the warning dots from Update #33.

Okay, enough of the shenanigans. You can read the story like a normal update until you get the test box (you'll need to decide if Aleksandra passes it or not). Go to the named section from there and you should be good.

Prologue

The Storm spans most of the Inali desert, a swirling maelstrom of oppressive winds and blood-hued sand stretching for hundreds of miles in every direction. Its arrival marked the end of all three of Inali’s oasis cities, the fall of Tarpitt and the permanent isolation of New Irynnath. Plagued with ravenous monsters and impossible to navigate, the unnatural phenomenon consumes everything within its vast reach. Only a fool enters the Storm, and few have ever returned…

The Priest

Adina ran as fast as she could, each footstep a prayer to Yaedra that she might reach the edge of the Storm before her pursuers find her. The heavy winds lifted the desert sands up over the priest and then back down upon her, a never-ending series of waves threatening to knock her from her feet and bury her alive. When she thought she could journey no further, a dark speck appeared on the horizon. A ruined cabin rested half-buried in the desert, and beyond it, the edge of the Storm. The cabin promised Adina shelter, and perhaps safety, but by the time she barred the door behind her, she could hear the guttural snarls of an unsated outside.

The small cabin was dark and almost empty, much of its furniture broken or missing entirely. It provided a modest amount of protection from the Storm, but the whistle of the wind was still quite loud overhead, and sand streamed down to the floor from various cracks and holes in the ceiling. Adina barely had time to find her bearings before the demonic dog slammed its body against the door, splintering the wood the priest had used to brace it. Adina turned toward the sound and walked backwards slowly, not realizing someone had opened a trapdoor hidden in the floor behind her. A black figure grabbed the priest by the mouth and waist and fell back with her into the cellar of the cabin, the trapdoor slamming behind them.

“Hold your tongue, girl,” the figure whispered, loosening their hand on her mouth when it was clear Adina would not scream. The cellar of the cabin was almost pitch-black, the only light escaping through the floorboards above. The demonic dog slammed against the door a second time, shattering the wooden brace. It walked slowly inside, sniffing every few steps as it made its way toward the back of the cabin.

The black figure swung the trapdoor open again, after the unsated passed, letting it slam behind the creature. Startled, the demonic dog jumped away from the noise, giving the black figure time to emerge from the cellar. In the dim light of the cabin, Adina could see the figure more clearly; she was a woman wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a trench coat, with a large eyepatch covering her left eye. The woman drew her sword, a blade of polished silver, and waited for the unsated to pounce. The creature did not disappoint, leaping at the woman with its fangs barred. The woman responded by falling backwards, allowing the monster to impale itself on her sword.

“Damn unsated,” the woman said with disgust, pushing the corpse of the demonic dog away. The woman had scarcely gotten to her feet before she saw another unsated had arrived at the cabin’s doorway, only a few feet from where she was standing. The creature pounced like the previous one, but the woman was not ready. She swung her sword upward at the unsated while it was in midair, clipping one of its back legs as it knocked her over. The two tumbled onto the floor, the unsated sliding into a wall. Adina appeared from the cellar and flicked her wrist at the disoriented unsated. A bolt of yellow-ish white light erupted from her hand and struck the creature, killing it instantly.

“You could have done that sooner,” the woman said sourly. She gingerly rose to her feet, blood dripping down her fingers from a large gash on her forearm.

“You’re hurt!” Adina said, rushing to the woman’s aid.

“Forget me and bar the door. These two won’t be our only visitors.” Adina did what she was told, retrieving a broken table leg from the floor, and using it to secure the entrance to the cabin once more. When she turned to tend to the stranger’s wounds, she found the woman had already returned to the cellar. Adina followed her, carefully closing the trapdoor behind her.

The woman was sitting on a small wooden chest, using a piece of flint and a dagger to start a fire. Adina pulled a dusty crate next to the stranger and began working her magic on the woman’s wound. The light of the campfire revealed that the cellar was much more spacious than it first appeared, likely larger than the cabin above it. Adina could see a wall of closed doors in the long hallway connected to the room they were currently sitting in, the mysterious rooms continuing beyond the light’s reach. A gentle breeze pulled the smoke of the fire down past the doors, hinting that there might be another exit within the cellar.

When Adina was finished healing the woman, she moved her crate to the other side of the fire, so they were sitting across from one another. The woman did not thank Adina for her aid, instead she sat quietly while she stroked the flames with a gnarled stick. After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence, Adina could stand it no longer. “I’m Adina Shalit, from New Irynnath.”

“Sarah.”

“You don’t look like a ‘Sarah,’” Adina said, immediately covering her mouth with her hands and blushing at her rudeness.

“You don’t look like you’re from Irynnath,” the woman replied harshly.

Adina was used to the sort of insinuation Sarah was making but suspected it had more to do with her trying to redirect the conversation than Adina’s skin color. “My father and I immigrated when I was very young.”

Sarah stared at the fire for a few moments and then returned her gaze back to Adina. “Why are you here, girl?”

Adina was not expecting Sarah to be so direct, nor for such a difficult question. Where should she begin? Could she even trust this stranger with her quest? “I was part of a diplomatic mission to Tarpitt,” she said, lying, a little disappointed in herself by how easy it was. “Two dozen of us left Irynnath and traveled west across the Agon plains to reconnect with our brothers and sisters across the desert.”

“Your friends died in vain, then,” Sarah said, dramatically tossing the stick into the fire. “Tarpitt fell to the vampires years ago.”

Adina’s heart sank. “What of her people?”

“Most were slaughtered or enslaved. The rest were scattered into the mountains or lost to the Storm.”

Adina couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She fought back tears, refusing to break down in front of some surly woman in a dark cellar. “What of the knights of the desert? The-”

“The Nyere?” Sarah asked with a twinge of bitterness. “Gone.”

“But I needed them to take me into the Storm,” Adina said, forgetting her lie from moments ago, as she buried her head into her hands.

Sarah leaned forward, the flickering light of the campfire dancing sinisterly across her face. “Into the Storm? You barely made it around and you want to walk straight in?” She stood up and took a few steps toward the long hallway. “You should go home, little priest. God's gaze cannot find you here.”

Adina stood up to yell at the woman, anger swelling up within her. Before she could find the words to express her utter anguish, someone knocked loudly on the front door of the cabin.

“Hellllllooooo!” Aleksandra called out sweetly as she continued to pound on the door, switching hands between knocks before using both hands at the same time with increasing speed. Aleksander pushed his sister away and put his pointed ear to the door. Aleksandra stood behind him, hopping up and down excitedly, her yellow eyes aglow with childlike enthusiasm. “Do you think she wants to kill us?” she said hysterically. “Oh, how I hope she wants to kill us!”

“I’d be disappointed if she didn’t at least try,” Aleksander said with a smile.

Below the cabin, Sarah retrieved a large crossbow from behind a pile of crates and loaded a bolt. “The twins,” she said bitterly. “Of course, they sent the twins.”

Adina followed Sarah toward the stairs. “Who are they?”

“Vampires. You’re not the only one being hunted today.”

Outside the cabin, Aleksander politely knocked on the door, still leaning close to listen. “Knock, knock, Vanessa. The council respectfully requests your-” Before Aleksander could finish, Vanessa fired her crossbow, the bolt piercing the door near the bridge of the vampire’s nose. Aleksander looked at the stuck bolt with wide eyes and then a flash of anger. “Poor form,” he said. Aleksander’s smile returned as he drew his sword and then kicked the door off its hinges. “We just want to take you home, Dead-Eye.”

Another bolt loaded, Vanessa raised her crossbow and yelled, “Don’t call me that!”

The Vampire Twins

Story break! We won't spoil the first encounter, but its structure depends on how many players you have (and how you feel like learning the game). You can either play the encounter player versus player (Adina & Vanessa versus the twins) or, if you have two or fewer players, you can play as just Vanessa & Adina and fight against AI-controlled Aleksander & Aleksandra.

The Old Laws

Weary of bloodshed, Adina raised her hands and erected a glowing yellow wall of pure energy with her hands, separating her and Vanessa from the vampire twins. Aleksandra pushed the side of her face against the wall, smiling, seemingly unphased that the holy magic was searing her skin. Adina tried to ignore her, instead turning to Aleksander. “I wish to secure a pact with you, vampire.”

“What?” Vanessa blurted out.

“You do?” Aleksandra said, pulling her bloody face off the barrier in surprise.

Aleksander sheathed his sword and stroked his chin with one hand. “How very interesting. And what would a woman of the cloth desire so much, that she’s willing to invoke the old laws with a lowly and unholy abomination such as myself?”

“I seek safe passage to the center of the Storm, to the city of Mokatta,” Adina said confidently.

“And what do you offer in return?”

“I can end the Storm.” Adina looked down, less convinced of her words. “At least, I think I can.”

“Done.”

Adina looked up, surprised. “Don’t you want to hear how?”

“Not really, no. I’m sure it’s full of gospel and dreadfully boring,” Aleksander said nonchalantly. “Besides, I mostly agreed just to irritate her.” Aleksander gestured to Vanessa, a huge grin on his face.

“They cannot be trusted!” Vanessa said, pointing angrily at the twins.

“See? Another job well done.” Aleksander leaned against the back wall of the cabin, crossing his arms and looking very relaxed. “Who else is going to lead our little lamb on her holiest of pilgrimages? You, Dead-Eye?”

“I told you to not call me that!” Vanessa turned back to Adina. “I’ll take you.”

Adina looked guiltily at Vanessa. “Look, I appreciate your help with the unsated, Sarah, Vanessa, whoever you are, but I-”

“Can you end the Storm?”

“I think so, but-”

Vanessa sheathed her sword and stood proudly before Adina. “I am Vanessa von Brandt, daughter of Gerolt von Brandt, last lord of the Nyere,” she said commandingly.

The vampire twins both clapped. “You should do that for the council, in case someone doesn’t know who you are,” Aleksander said sarcastically.

Vanessa ignored them. “I’ve been to Mokatta before; I can lead you through the Storm. These two would have you wander aimlessly until they grow bored… or hungry.”

“You’re a Nyere?” Adina blurted out, her mouth agape in surprise. Vanessa’s jarring declaration caused her to lose focus, resulting in her magical barrier disappearing.

Aleksandra looked poised to attack again, but she followed her brother’s lead. Aleksander nonchalantly walked between Vanessa and Adina, resting his hand on the pommel of his sword. “Unfortunately, she has already made a pact with me. You’re welcome to join us on our little quest, Vanessa.” Vanessa glared at Aleksander. “Afterwards we can see about that council summons you’ve been so eager to ignore.”

“Perhaps now, you would all like to hear my tale?” Adina asked awkwardly, hoping to avoid further conflict.

Aleksander sighed. “If we must.”

The Dream

After fixing the front door of the cabin, the unlikely party listened to Adina’s unbelievable story, a dream from months before. “I entered a temple in the center of the Storm, its stone weathered from sand and wind. A faint light beckoned me deeper into its heart, down countless stairs and through dozens of chambers…”

Aleksander yawned dramatically while Aleksandra stopped paying attention entirely, content to toy with one of the unsated corpses. Vanessa listened intently as she leaned against a beam across from the entrance to the cabin, staring at Aleksander from below the brim of her hat with her one good eye.

“At the very bottom was a chasm with a small altar resting in its heart, suspended above the darkness.”

The Skull Collector

Adina’s story was interrupted by the savage tearing of flesh, as Aleksandra ripped the unsated’s head from its corpse and began meticulously removing its bloody skin. After a moment, she realized everyone was staring at her with either disgust or, in the case of Aleksander, mild amusement. Aleksandra looked up with confusion. “What?”

Adina swallowed sharply to avoid vomiting before attempting to continue her story.

Aleksandra gains the “Aleksandra’s New Favorite Skull” equipment card (Skip to Five Relics).

Successful Failure

Adina’s story was interrupted by the savage tearing of flesh, as Aleksandra attempted to rip the unsated’s head from its corpse. She exerted too much force, causing the skull to first collapse, then explode, sending bits of brain and bone across the room. Disappointed, but mostly unphased, Aleksandra began licking blood from her fingers like a cat. Adina swallowed sharply to avoid vomiting before attempting to continue her story.

Five Relics

“As I walked across the maze-like bridge to the altar, I heard the most enchanting voice.” Adina paused for effect, falsely assuming her own excitement was shared by the others in the room. “It was Yaedra, I’m sure of it! Her words felt like a warm blanket wrapped around my very soul. She said, ‘Five relics are required. Five relics to end a Storm.’ Then I awoke, with these names burned on my arm.”

Aleksander stepped forward, holding Adina’s arm at the wrist, and running his well-manicured finger across each artifact. “Yaedra blessed you with a shopping list, how wonderful,” he said sarcastically.

Aleksandra quickly appeared, her face close to Adina’s forearm, sadistically admiring the branding of a god. “Did it hurt?” she asked expectantly with a smile on her lips.

Aleksander sighed. “I’ve never heard of any of these. Dead-Eye?” He held Adina’s arm out like it was an inanimate object, rather than a part of a living person.

Vanessa strode forward, ignoring Adina and standing uncomfortably close to Aleksander, looking up at him with malice. “Why did you accept her offer, Aleksander? What does a vampire gain from ending the Storm?”

“I seek nothing more than removing a blight upon this land,” Aleksander said, shrugging innocently.

Vanessa pointed at Aleksander, yelling at him. “Liar!”

“Such slanderous accusations, Dead-Eye,” he said, pretending to be insulted. “Surely my reasons are no more selfish than yours.”

With one swift motion, Vanessa produced a knife from her belt and held it against Aleksander’s throat, his skin faintly smoking from the polished silver of the blade. “Keep talking, vampire, I’ll keep sharpening.”

Adina attempted to wedge herself between the two, unsuccessfully. She then looked to Vanessa, pleading. “Please, enough! I don’t care why they help us, only that they do.” Adina then held her arm out for Vanessa to see, who, after another glare at Aleksander, sheathed her knife.

“Do you know of these relics, Vanessa?” Adina asked.

Vanessa read each name carefully before dropping Adina’s arm and turning away while adjusting her hat. “Your god asks the impossible, priest.”

The cabin was silent for a moment, save for the creaking of wood as the Storm battered the ruined structure from the outside. “Three of these artifacts haven’t been seen in centuries, assuming they ever existed. Another can be found in Mokatta, which is likely buried under a mountain of sand, and the last? The last, is in the royal vault of Tarpitt.”

The vampire twins stood shoulder to shoulder and, at Vanessa’s words, both grinned from ear to ear.

What's the Perception test for? Good question, but that's all the time we have for today.

Lavon Rising Launch and Stormsunder Crossover
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jul 02, 2021 at 05:14:31 PM

Hello, folks!

We launched our reprint+ campaign for Wild Assent yesterday, if you haven’t heard, remaking the original campaign’s content and adding a new narrative-based expansion called Lavon Rising.

This new expansion borrows heavily from Stormsunder’s campaign structure, but in more digestible campaigns (I get to kill major characters quicker). You can check out the demo campaign book here.

And you can check out the entire campaign on Gamefound here.

The campaign has already raised over 500k in less than a day and earned its first Daily Unlock, a young version of Vanessa Von Brant, from Stormsunder: Heirs of Ruin. With Wild Assent’s reprint comes the necessity of switching manufacturers, so we’ll be changing the scale to match Stormsunder. If a Vanessa with two eyes is appealing to you, you might want to have a look.

There's also 46-ish hours left of the 72-Hour Early Bird, the "ohmygod I think it's crawling on my back right now" Mist Terror free mini (ends noon EST on July 2nd):

And finally a content image because Nikola keeps telling me I can't have lunch until I add more images:

Lavon Rising Demo

We sent a demo to BoardGameCo and a Quackalope was left on his doorstep, so they tried the game together. Here’s the review of their experiences (spoiler: they really liked it):

And here’s the actual gameplay from their first encounter:

FYI, this will not be the next update that we promised, though we’re going to have to move the story-based update to the end of the month because we are (I am) getting buried in backer communication and I want to make sure the story we show you is perfect (especially since I decided to rewrite the intro at the beginning of the year). We’ll have a different update with a gameplay focus instead, maybe revealing Jaden’s cards or something else entirely. We shall see!

Anyway, that’s all for now. Until next time, we’ll see you in the Storm (watch out for goblins… they’re popping up everywhere nowadays).

I'm going to lunch without making this a link. Take that, Nikola!

almost 3 years ago – Sun, Jun 20, 2021 at 08:55:12 PM

Hello, folks!

The Feilheim card reveal update seemed pretty popular, so we decided to do another! Today's hero is Fiora Quell, the Raised Sorceress. This is update 1 of 2 for June (so long as I can I reserve the right to possibly pretend the first week of July is part of June), so if you are uninterested in new cards, we’ll have you covered with a story reveal in update 2 of 2.

Credit Cards to be Charged Tomorrow (June 18th)

This is also a reminder that we’re doing another round of card-charging on BackerKit, so if your pledge is complete (card/address info entered) and we haven’t charged you, we’re about to (tomorrow unless there’s some sort of issue).

Wild Assent – Lavon Rising Updates

Kind of reminds me of an old horror movie poster... but with cards.

Before we get to the card-y goodness, check out our campaign page for Wild Assent: Lavon Rising on Gamefound: https://gamefound.com/projects/draft/hxw0v9sewixu3vyewrs57wdxoga. We’ve added a lot of new images since we last mentioned it, including a ton of box content images, etc.

Fiora Quell, Hero of Tarpitt

That's all for now! We'll be back soon-ish with an in-depth look at the very beginning of Stormsunder's story (spoilers abound; ye been warned). Until then, we'll see you in the Storm (if you bring Quell, it's like there's a 2-for-1 Cataclysm special).
