Hello 500k folks (I know that doesn’t make sense, but 500k!),
We’re just going to cover stretch goals at the moment; we’ll have more exciting things to share tonight (or the wee hours of tomorrow morning… who needs sleep anyway). For now, you unlocked Liora, the Gatekeeper, another Wayward hero!
Liora is tasked with guarding the barriers between realms and bearer of the keys to the gates of heaven and Hell. When Jaden left heaven, he did it at the expense of Liora’s pride. Now she hunts him across the desert, desperate to remove him from the land, through one gateway or another.
Here are you new stretch goals (aren't the Earth Spirits awesome?):
In other news, Beasts of War posted another video, this one about the art and sculpting of Stormsunder. Check it out:
That's it for now, see you in the Storm tonight (or morning; we already went over this)!

Daily Unlocks, Posthuman Saga and BoW Videos!

Hello, folks!
Lots of stuff to go over tonight (morning, I suppose), so let’s get to it.
We unlocked our first crossover miniature yesterday and we’d be remissed if we didn’t give the fine folks at Mighty Boards a plug for their upcoming expansion for Posthuman Saga, The Journey Home: https://www.mighty-boards.com/posthumansaga-thejourneyhome.
In related news, you’ve also unlocked your next daily stretch goal, a punchboard map of the Old Kingdom! It will be added to the Heirs of Ruin box to track the heroes progress as they begin their journey to end the Storm (that's not the actual map; we fiddled with the Tarpitt map for a placeholder, FYI).
You’ve also unlocked some more traditional stretch goals, including the two Ice Golem companions. It may not make sense to bring ice elementals to the desert, but maybe that’s why they’re so angry!
Beasts of War has been posting regular Stormsunder videos; you should check them out:
Finally, submissions for the equipment creation contest end on Friday; we’ll show the cards we come with over the weekend. Don't forget to post them in the general comments for all to see!
Have a good night/morning/midday and we’ll see you in the Storm (it has to rain sometime)!
Quick Stretch Goal Update!

Hello, folks!
Just a quick update for stretch goals; we’ll be back tonight with a proper update with videos, news and that daily unlock we promised by calling the last one a “Daily Unlock.”
You’ve unlocked Vacrem! Vacrem is the next Wayward hero of Stormsunder; use him at the beginning of the game and crush your enemies!
Vacrem leads a group of bounty hunters known as the Faceless. In the Faceless who you are does not matter, only your ability to fight. Vacrem killed his master in ritual combat to obtain leadership of the group, just as his father had done before him.
Here are your new Stretch Goals, keep rocking them out:
Keep those equipment entries coming and we'll see you in the Storm (weather permitting)!
More Stretch Goals Unlocked! Make Your Own Equipment Contest!

Hello, folks!
We’re back for another update and you all have been crushing some stretch goals while we were gone (but we’ll go over that at the end). What you didn’t know is that today you unlocked a stretch goal without even trying, our first daily unlock and crossover: The Scavenger.
Hailing from Mighty Boards’ Posthuman Saga, the Scavenger is the first Wayward hero to join Stormsunder. Waywards can be used at the very beginning of the game. Their impact on the story is minimal, but they are usually special classes (say, a scavenger) that have fun abilities to spice up combat and keep the game fresh, especially on repeated play-throughs. Stormsunder is designed to incorporate new heroes in this way; you may have noticed a couple of instances of this in the demo campaign book (an attendance test for a vampire that isn’t one of the twins, for example).
In other news, its time for a contest. As you may have noticed, there are a *lot* of equipment cards in Stormsunder, and we need your help. Post in the main comments and let us know what kind of equipment you would like to see. There’s no limit on entries; we’ll pick our favorite three Weapons, Armor and Accessories. We will then make the cards for those nine (tweaking as necessary), and have everyone vote for their favorite two for each type that will be added to Heirs of Ruin. Don’t worry about stats; focus more on the type of equipment and what sort of special effects it should have. Here is a pile of equipment cards to give you an idea of what is already in the game:
Feilheim hails from beyond the mountains west of the former kingdom of Tarpitt. Known as the Hinterlord, he led a clan of half-giants until his beloved lost her footing on the cliffs near their village and fell to her death. Lost in his grief, Feilheim has abandoned his people and traveled far from his home, with no destination in mind.
You also unlocked a new side quest, some new ability cards and another companion, the adorable chameleon:
Keep rocking out those stretch goals and we’ll see you in the Storm (of equipment comments).

We're Funded (Plus Stretch Goals)!

We’re funded (and unlocked some stretch goals too; nice)! Thank you all so much for joining us on this grand adventure. We hope you have fun during the campaign and, more importantly, fun when you get to play our crazy awesome game.
Let’s look at your unlocked stretch goals:
Quell - New Hero
Fiora Quell died defending Tarpitt long before the vampires laid siege to the city. She has risen once more in the service of a dark power; can you break her free of the mystical chains that bind her, or will you finally put her body and soul to rest?
Council Enchantresses
The Sorcerer's Guild is well integrated into the vampire High Council, but the enchantresses serve Lady Renata, not Lord Rihard. It is rare to see them out and about in the city, making their appearance a signal of troubling times to come.
